Students with both great need and great promise
Over 300 students are selected each year to be Schmitt Leadership Scholars including high school students from Daniel Murphy Scholarship Fund, High Sight and LINK Unlimited; college students from Arrupe College, Benedictine University, DePaul University, Dominican University, St. Xavier University and University of St. Francis; and graduate students from Loyola University-Chicago, Marquette University and University of Notre Dame. Schmitt Leadership Scholars are inspirational and imaginative, hard-working and resilient, students who envision more for themselves and their world. Through thoughtful and intentional programming, these Schmitt Leadership Scholars participate in leadership development training and projects that challenge them to grow, lead and commit to making a positive difference now and in the future.

Schmitt Leadership Scholars actively study and explore leadership fundamentals and best practices, and then implement projects utilizing these leadership skills.
